Chess Camp

This camp is for kids of any level of chess, from beginners to advanced players. Campers just starting out will learn the fundamentals of chess through classic games, while more advanced players will learn more advanced tactics, strategies, and openings. Campers will also get a chance to play competitive matches against others. 

This camp will be taught by Kevin Fong, a United States Chess Federation National Master. He is a top 100 player in Northern California, and has an online rating of 2669. Additionally, he has coached chess for three years, including private lessons for students ranked top 100 in their respective age groups in the US. 

There will be two sessions and campers of all skill levels are welcome. The first session will be from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and the second will be from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM during the week of July 21st - July 25th at a private residence in Palo Alto.

Pizza will be provided for campers doing both sessions, and prizes will be rewarded at the end of the week.
